Ok so my boyfriend Chadd keeps mentioning that I should make a blog of my ranting about sailor moon...
here goes!
most of my early memories of when I was little was mostly of sailor moon, I think the same as I thought then, mostly of sailor moon. A lot of stores had A LOT of sailor moon things and well I couldn't scape it, I had moon on the brain and I never thought that I would STILL have moon on the brain, no doubt I later figured out that sailor moon brings me joy inside like nothing else i have ever experienced, its a type of high feeling that never gets old!
I lived in Mexico until I was seven, well I was born in Wisconsin and my mom moved to Mexico right after I was born, although I do have many memories other than sailor moon, I just remember the cartoons I used to watch, and well frankly I just remember sailor moon.. lol
well anyway, most of my friends back in the day also liked sailor moon, idk if it was coz it was trendy for little girls, but it wasn't trendy for me.. still isnt.
When I moved to the United States at the age of 7 or 8 I remember Sailor Moon being a "big thing" here too, although I think it was new here for some reason.. I later found out that in Mexico they don't bother to edit out anything in any anime, they just add spanish voices and release it, but here in the states they edit and add voices, which made sailor moon feel kind of hollow~~ later I found out that they also had changed stories and relationships between characters, and that rly bothered me so I made a rule to myself that I will only watch anime with subtitles!
for example I was a huge fan of Naruto before it blew up here in the U.S. I TRIED to watch it in english but it just pissed me off how they completely change what the characters say... it might be a slight difference to most but to me the slightest change can ruin an already favorite anime~
in middle school I met a couple of friends with the same level of passion that I had towards sailor moon, and well we became rly good friends, although one of them ended up moving to Tennessee( I miss you T__T'')
she fueled my passion for sailor moon, just as I was loosing hope that there was no one left on the face of the earth that loved sailor moon as much as I did.
anyway, one of those friends ended up being one of my neighbors lol so for halloween we dressed up as sailor scouts, she was sailor venus and I was sailor mars, whenever we hung out we always roll played in her backyard, she had other friends that I met that were crazy over sailor moon aswell! it was my kind of heaven!
but then I moved and we attended different highschools... LAME!!!
BUT I reunited with old friends there aswell :3
none as crazy for sailor moon as I was... but I introduced them to other stuff
As a freshman I found a rly cheesy sailor moon back pack(which I now feel super embarrassed that I ever used it) that I used... but then started to fall apart~
and I kind of wore my hair in a super simple yet very lazy sailor moon pig tails... that I also kind of regret.. coz for homecoming week at my school we had a theme for every day of the week, and it made me realized that ppl thought that my hair was tacky coz for "tacky tuesday" a lot of girls had their hair up like I made mine... needless to say I never put it up like that anymore~~ .__.''''
throughout highschool I started to collect sailor moon stuff because it was beginning to be harder and harder to find...
my collection isn't that big, but its not small either, but I still crave more! lol
this will have to be the end for now~
oh.. here is a picture of me and my sister, she is in my sailor mercury costume~
OMG! Cool!! Teh Sailor Mercury costume!!! Looks cute X3, I wonder how the boots look, though...
