Sister Time.

It's been forever since I've had 'sister time' with my older sister, after she moved to San Fransisco from Austin. Last time I went, it was technically my HoneyMoon with my husband. So I didn't really get a chance to just hang out with my sister, god knows I'm over due for some of that~

Last week she text me asking if I wanted to go shopping with her the following weekend, I made a joke saying that I would go only if she paid for my ticket. She didn't reply for about 30 min. but once she did she said to my surprise: I'll pay for half!

I knew she was serious, so I started to consider it, but financially it was not possible, for I had just paid rent and was flat broke!

Very disappointing, but I did tell her to pick a week out of January and I will take the time off to go.

Just searched tickets, and they are HALF the price they are marked at right now, I'm guessing because it's the holiday season~

Needless to say, I gotta save up for next time I get paid, I will buy my tickets!!

SAN FRAN HERE I GO AGIAIN!!

Chadd's Comics! VOL. 1.

For those of you who don't know. Chadd is my husband!
He loves comic books. his collection is like none I've ever seen, that's coming from a girl who hasn't seen many comic book collections... BUT trust me! It's quite large!

He started reading comics when he was around 7. His older brother Stacey introduced him to comic books, later his brother handed down his collection to Chadd. And that's when it all started!

He's always had trouble with reading, so comics naturally are easier to read for him. He's told me of a time in High School where he asked his teacher if it was ok for him to read comic books in class for an in-class "reading time". His teacher told him "if you have one, sure", and of course Chadd has a comic book! But the rest of the class didn't, and they were bitching at the fact that he could sit there and read a comic while every one else had to settle for whatever the teacher had to read in the class room.

Because of this obsession Chadd has become an encyclopedia of comic book information, as well as an encyclopedia of a very wide variety of useless information, a dictionary (terrible speller though, due to his issue with reading), and why he's got such awesome art skills!

The picture up there is our new apartments version of what we used to have at our previous apartment. And those are just his graphic novels, and a very small pile of issues on top. But I'll leave to show off his issues in a diff post!

Before & After

Lately I've gotten really lazy!
This passed Monday and Saturday I've gotten off work early, which is RARE! Because Those two days are the days I have 12 hrs shifts!
Monday was due to Memorial day and the fact that between 10AM-1PM we had a total of 3 customers come in...

Saturday I had a wedding to attend because my Husband was performing the ceremony. It was his first one ever, so he wanted me to be there. The night before at 2:30AM we decided to go grocery shopping so I had little to no sleep, So I guess I've been resting up.

The result of all of this was... A filthy messy apartment!

So I thought it would be interesting to record my ... progress? I guess... Can't think of a better word at the moment...

Before:
It's mainly just dirty clothes every where, and the usual everything out of place thing.

This is the after for that one:

Before:

After:

Before (Husbands side of the room):
After:

Washed all the clothes on the floor and all the sheets :3
That is all! :D
And yes I do realize that most of that stuff on the shelf and beside the sewing table are still messy, but those are my craft supplies. And I like them that way >:3

Around my house~ #2

I have posted before things that were around my house because I had no other interesting pictures to show you!
but now I have decided to continue it, but this time I'll have a theme!
Today's theme will be: SAILOR MOON!!

These are magnets on my fridge, I bought them when I was in high school. I had never taken them out of the plastic wrapping they were in, until (4years later) my ex roommate had his sister and her husband with two little girls over, one of them was about 8 and the other one was like 3. Anyway the point is that while I was at work I came back and my heart cracked a little bit when I saw all of them were OPENED!! And the wrapping no where to be found!!! I admit its really ridiculous to over react to something like that but when its something that you cherish and hold dear to you because you know its not an easy thing to find!!
Like for example, its as if a Star Wars collector had something that was priceless to him (and probably would be priceless to anyone) that was very old and unopened, and then have a little 8 year old girl open it... and then throw away the wrapping! Its just as bad! Anyway.. had to clean them very carefully because she smudged god knows what on them and left her finger prints. Felt like I had to wipe them away as if I'm taking back my territory and marking it, like when dogs "mark" their "territory".... God I sound ridiculous!

I bought this 3D poster from the same place I bought my Sailor Moon magnets. They had more of them at that store, they closed it though. If they were still open I would have probably bought them out on any and all sailor moon related stuff they sold there!

These are actually pretty cool! I work at Quiznos, and before they "re-modeled" they had all these word bubbles with silly things talking about the quality of the ingredients and what not. I asked my manager what he was going to do with the display word bubbles, he said nothing and then offered them to me. I had an idea to buy chalk board paint, and painting them so I can write stuff on them! In this case I wrote down one of my favorite quotes on it!

This is a shelf filled with many random things... mainly toys. A lot of the stuff on the top shelf was given to us by grandma! I'll show you later on what other animal shaped things she gave us. Point is, I still have my cake top that is the little Hand made sailor moon looking thing on the bottom left corner of the picture.

These are mainly most of the figures I own. The tall badly painted sailor moon figure with Luna on her shoulder I bought on a trip to my home town in Mexico(back in 2002), Guadalajara! There was a ceramic store where you can guy bare ceramic figurines and paint it. This one is a piggy bank, there is a hole on her back for coins. The Sailor moon clock that is right next to it I think I bought it at... actually I cant remember WHERE I bought it! ... interesting... anyway I remember having it since middle school. Something traumatic happened during middle school that I cannot possibly care any less to remember so I guess that is not the only memory that I "deleted" if you will. Its super cute because when it goes off it plays the sailor moon theme song and between every pause it says "GOOD MORNING" and the song continues. It's EXTREMELY LOUD and it continues until you press the button again.

In this picture I have my super generic sailor moon wands XD because I cant afford the real ones! The little pink clock is also an alarm clock. I bought it because it reminds me a lot of the Sailor Moon castle in the moon! I couldn't take a very good picture of it, but you can make out the little crescent moon shapes on top of both sides of the poles that are on top of the little domes. and the domes themselves are very Sailor-Moon-castle-ly. But this one has yet another exremely loud sound, of an indian lady singing in that weird style that is traditional to them.

This little box was bought at the same store I bought my 3D sailor moon poster in my bathroom!
It holds my jewelry, what I mean by that is it holds all of my plugs! I have gauged ears so that is all I wear. and I wear no rings, part of the reason why I tattooed my wedding band on.. more to come for that later! and its also my book end for that stack of whatever that is.

Saved the BEST FOR LAST!
this is what my husband calls the "Eye Raping Corner of Cuteness" the day after we got back from our honey moon in San Fran, I unpacked all of my sailor moon poster finds from China Town and gathered the rest in one corner! I got 8 posters from China Town all thanx to my husbands good eye for finding things. Best story about this is the Sailor Stars wall scroll at the top I haggled for at some flea market looking place, they were using the poster to cover under a display table so that you couldn't see their unorganized mess!! WHAT A WASTE OF A GOOD POSTER!! Anyway, I freaked out with excitement and my husband was trying to calm me down and he found the lady in charge, she at first said that it was ugly and old, told her I didn't care and asked how much she wanted for it. She didn't know what to tell me, so she asked me how much I would pay, and still shocked I couldn't answer. Then she went back to ask someone about it, then she said it was not for sale... anyway I almost walked away and she I guess noticed how sad I looked and she offered it to me for $5 and I told her $4, she took too long to make up her mind and I started to walk away slowly and she said OK!
HAH!!! Score one for Me, none for Asian lady in China town!
I'm way too proud of that! Hahahaha!!

I hope you enjoyed this! and I'll try to bring more interesting things to write about! :D
HAPPY READING!

THE SONG

This is me and Chadd's song :3

its not that we met at 17 or anything...

We were digging for records one day, and Chadd was showing me what he found and when he got to this song I told him "this makes me want to slow dance with you"

Later on that night, I was feeling really down because I had missed my sister since she moved to California. In the middle of my crying fit, he ran to play this song and got me up and started slow dancing with me. It was one of THE most romantic things he's ever done~
So I hold this song dear to my heart!

Yay?

So I picked out a camera that was cheap, in price, later when I had chadd order it as my christmas present, I found out so was the camera!!

It was crappy~ but I chose it without doing my research~
it was supposed to be up to 10mega pixels, but the quality was poopie!
It recorded videos, but with no sound... so whats the point??
anyway, the flash is pathetic, its just poopie over all.
Once I got over it I started to take pictures of stuff around my apartment, like I used to do when I had a camera...
MY POISON

MY TERRIBLE COOKING

MY BROTHER
in
MY LIVING ROOM

MY FILTER

On the same night I took these pictures(yesterday). The camera decides to commit suicide and sneaks under Chadd's FOOT!!
needles to say, its broken... cheap price, cheap camera, cheap quality inside and out. He felt really bad about breaking it, all I could do was laugh!
So before we went to bed shortly after the camera became a paper weight, we ordered another one online~
This time I decided I would stick with the same model I had before. So I know what I'm getting myself into~

anyone want a camera with a broken screen? If so? lets make a deal! ;D

Today...

Long.Ass.Story... short

Most of the day was filled with anger and frustrations and arguments between the hubby and I.... SUX!

My solution?... SEX!!

Don't wait too many days or things will tense up and everything will become a problem~
It happens sometimes, cant help it if both parties are busy. Still doesn't mean its not an important thing that needs to be addressed VERY often.

Everyone wins :3

le sigh~~

Sorry for the super long time of not posting, but we had to get rid of our internet/cable/phone service coz it got too expensive. SO! now I'm married, moved into an apt with just me and the hubby, and got internet service again, feels like coming out of the stone age! Not that I would know what that's like~

anyway, new updates?
got a tattoo wedding ring, wore steel toe combat boots for my wedding!
Been married for about a month and a week, been working way too much. Have not had a chance go get my name changed, although I found out the hard way that I don't have to go to the DPS office for that but in fact print out a form and take it to the justice of the peace place.

I work 3 jobs..
one is helping out my friends at the corner cafe in the mornings from about seven to ten, right before my second job(Quiznos), which is coincidentally enough next door! And I work there from ten to 1:30. Then 2 to 3 times a week I go over to Total Uniforms to do some embroidery work from 2 to 6. By then I'm exhausted, hungry, and sleepy. so I don't do much when I get home after me 45min bus ride!
My husband works nights, so I hardly get to spend time with him, because he is not working while I am, and vise versa.

So changing my name might need to wait yet another week, since I cant find the time to do it.

Thats it for now, wish I had some help with laundry, dishes, and cleaning... seems thats all I ever do now...

Around my house~ #1

I haven't been posting much, My hours at Quiznos have doubled... I'm greatful for that because my pay check has also doubled, I'm working on getting insurance and then stickers for my car so I can drive.. or at least practice for my driving test~
I pull 12hr shifts mondays and saturdays and then 2-4hr shift in the days between. Quiznos hired two new people, and I think the managers have left me to train both of them, one of them works during the day every day and the other new guy works at night mondays and saturdays with me. Come to think of it... I think I have trained everyone there except for the other employee who has been working there before me~~ ANYWAY! side story sorry~~

Since I don't have many new pictures, I'll show you ones that I already have of around my house~~

This is actually a pretty cool idea that my fiancee and his roommate have~
those are regular milk crates that they 'found' around dumpsters and stuff, its their little library of comic novels that are I guess recent.. not sure if that is the proper word for it, but they are always lending out comic books to people and I always see them putting stuff back or taking stuff out.

This is the top of our living room television~
I think more toys have been added since this picture, the MUNNY vinyl toys are mine, oh and the GAMERA one too :3

This is in our room, thats just two walls of our poster filled room!
Its so much better than bare walls!

I bought this movie shelf from one of my sister's friends who used to own a movie shop here in Austin. Long story short, she doesnt have the shop anymore and she sold me this shelf :3
I figured it was a good buy since the guys love movies and they love to collect them, it will take a few shelves out of our living space and put it all in one wall!

Thats pretty much IT for now.. Comic books, Toys, Posters, and a Movie Shelf...very exciting I know...
