Around my house~ #2

I have posted before things that were around my house because I had no other interesting pictures to show you!
but now I have decided to continue it, but this time I'll have a theme!
Today's theme will be: SAILOR MOON!!

These are magnets on my fridge, I bought them when I was in high school. I had never taken them out of the plastic wrapping they were in, until (4years later) my ex roommate had his sister and her husband with two little girls over, one of them was about 8 and the other one was like 3. Anyway the point is that while I was at work I came back and my heart cracked a little bit when I saw all of them were OPENED!! And the wrapping no where to be found!!! I admit its really ridiculous to over react to something like that but when its something that you cherish and hold dear to you because you know its not an easy thing to find!!
Like for example, its as if a Star Wars collector had something that was priceless to him (and probably would be priceless to anyone) that was very old and unopened, and then have a little 8 year old girl open it... and then throw away the wrapping! Its just as bad! Anyway.. had to clean them very carefully because she smudged god knows what on them and left her finger prints. Felt like I had to wipe them away as if I'm taking back my territory and marking it, like when dogs "mark" their "territory".... God I sound ridiculous!

I bought this 3D poster from the same place I bought my Sailor Moon magnets. They had more of them at that store, they closed it though. If they were still open I would have probably bought them out on any and all sailor moon related stuff they sold there!

These are actually pretty cool! I work at Quiznos, and before they "re-modeled" they had all these word bubbles with silly things talking about the quality of the ingredients and what not. I asked my manager what he was going to do with the display word bubbles, he said nothing and then offered them to me. I had an idea to buy chalk board paint, and painting them so I can write stuff on them! In this case I wrote down one of my favorite quotes on it!

This is a shelf filled with many random things... mainly toys. A lot of the stuff on the top shelf was given to us by grandma! I'll show you later on what other animal shaped things she gave us. Point is, I still have my cake top that is the little Hand made sailor moon looking thing on the bottom left corner of the picture.

These are mainly most of the figures I own. The tall badly painted sailor moon figure with Luna on her shoulder I bought on a trip to my home town in Mexico(back in 2002), Guadalajara! There was a ceramic store where you can guy bare ceramic figurines and paint it. This one is a piggy bank, there is a hole on her back for coins. The Sailor moon clock that is right next to it I think I bought it at... actually I cant remember WHERE I bought it! ... interesting... anyway I remember having it since middle school. Something traumatic happened during middle school that I cannot possibly care any less to remember so I guess that is not the only memory that I "deleted" if you will. Its super cute because when it goes off it plays the sailor moon theme song and between every pause it says "GOOD MORNING" and the song continues. It's EXTREMELY LOUD and it continues until you press the button again.

In this picture I have my super generic sailor moon wands XD because I cant afford the real ones! The little pink clock is also an alarm clock. I bought it because it reminds me a lot of the Sailor Moon castle in the moon! I couldn't take a very good picture of it, but you can make out the little crescent moon shapes on top of both sides of the poles that are on top of the little domes. and the domes themselves are very Sailor-Moon-castle-ly. But this one has yet another exremely loud sound, of an indian lady singing in that weird style that is traditional to them.

This little box was bought at the same store I bought my 3D sailor moon poster in my bathroom!
It holds my jewelry, what I mean by that is it holds all of my plugs! I have gauged ears so that is all I wear. and I wear no rings, part of the reason why I tattooed my wedding band on.. more to come for that later! and its also my book end for that stack of whatever that is.

Saved the BEST FOR LAST!
this is what my husband calls the "Eye Raping Corner of Cuteness" the day after we got back from our honey moon in San Fran, I unpacked all of my sailor moon poster finds from China Town and gathered the rest in one corner! I got 8 posters from China Town all thanx to my husbands good eye for finding things. Best story about this is the Sailor Stars wall scroll at the top I haggled for at some flea market looking place, they were using the poster to cover under a display table so that you couldn't see their unorganized mess!! WHAT A WASTE OF A GOOD POSTER!! Anyway, I freaked out with excitement and my husband was trying to calm me down and he found the lady in charge, she at first said that it was ugly and old, told her I didn't care and asked how much she wanted for it. She didn't know what to tell me, so she asked me how much I would pay, and still shocked I couldn't answer. Then she went back to ask someone about it, then she said it was not for sale... anyway I almost walked away and she I guess noticed how sad I looked and she offered it to me for $5 and I told her $4, she took too long to make up her mind and I started to walk away slowly and she said OK!
HAH!!! Score one for Me, none for Asian lady in China town!
I'm way too proud of that! Hahahaha!!

I hope you enjoyed this! and I'll try to bring more interesting things to write about! :D
HAPPY READING!

I cut the cheese!

I work with food. This is the first food related job I've ever had. When I started I was unexperienced and clueless as to what I should expect. I freaked out and almost called quits! But I soon realized that it's the easiest job I'll ever have! I learned a lot of things best thing I've learned is prepping food. Is it weird to find prepping food fun?
Anyway!
I would like to share with you what I do at work!
TODAYS LESSON: SLICING CHEESE!
(pictures below)
For cheddar cheese you have to make sure evey slice weighs 1oz. Then stack them in several different stacks. Then cut in half horizontally. Then separate them in two on a sheet of plastic food wrap. Then cut again but this time across opposite corners to make triangles! And keep doing that with the rest of the cheese. Put it all in a bucket label it and there you have it!! Prepped Cheddar Cheese!!

On a different note! I downloaded the blogger app so I can blog from anywhere! Including from work, when I'm not slicing cheese that is...tee hee hee!! This is the first post with the app, hopefully it's good! More to come!

Graffitti In San Francisco.(picture overload) PART I

The husband and I went to visit my sister in San Francisco for our very late(6 months later) Honey Moon. My sister lives in what they call "The Mission" and one thing they are known for is for their murals, awesome art at every corner! San Francisco is mainly just filled with awesome graffiti. I have put together a group of most of the pictures I took of the graffiti around town. In my opinion it's not much because I wanted to take a picture of everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING! but I kept getting left behind and almost lost in that foreign land they call San Francisco!
HERE IT GOES!
This mural is in Jack Kerouac Alley:

These are some in China Town:

New Toys!

My husband and I love toys!
Especially this specific Japanese brand of toys that are super pose able:
REVOLTECH
I wanted some of my own but I either, 1)Don't know any of the characters they actually make. Or 2) They cost too much.
So my husband convinced me to get some anyway!
And I did! :D
I bought four and they were all under $10 each. Which is amazing because that brand of toys is not cheap, a good one will run about $60. All of these are called FRAULEIN, I guess its the line for female characters?
they are a bit flimsy, they come with different hands you can change into. Although they are really difficult to put on and off, I already broke the joint on the blonde one's right hand...
The joints from the very first REVOLTECH used to click in place, yes they actually make the clicking sound. The click I guess means that its a stronger hold on any position you put them in. The only thing that clicks on my dolls are their feet.

Being the shutter happy girl that I am. I had a bit of a photo shoot with my new toys!
Here is the result of my creative boredom!

More pictures to come. I got busy and had other things to take care of...
I posed the blonde one in a couple of popular Sailor Moon poses. That's pretty much the closest thing I can get to it so! might as well! :D

I'll have more pictures later!
I plan on buying miniature things so my dolls have something to do! XD!
